Default Off to the sunshine coast!!

Hi all,

My fiancee Sarah and i have been into London today to get our permenant visas for Oz stamped into our passports. WOOOOOHOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!

We're looking to come out in August/September this year to Oz and we love the sunshine coast. Its been a while since we've been there and last time we were tourists. Could anyone recommend any up and coming areas in the Sunshine coast which we could be checking out? Sarahs 26 and i'm 25 (toyboy) and we're getting married in May before we come over. Wanting to get settled before having kiddies so we're looking long term for good family areas.

I'm a carpenter and heard theres plenty of work out there. Is this true???

Thanks for taking the time to read my post!! Any help would be great!!!

Thanks David x

Buderim and Mountain creek are very nice areas - we are renting in Buderim at the moment and are starting to look into buying at the moment. We have found Buderim to be very expensive to buy in so have started to look into Bli Bli (a small town about 10 mins from the coast) and have found it be very up and coming and you can buy a lot more for your money.

Hi David
We too are hoping to go to the sunshine coast, but not for a while yet, we are still waiting for a case officer to be assigned to our application! My hubby's brother lives in Buderim and it is a lovely area, but since we visited them just over a year ago the house prices have shot up and we're now not sure if we can afford to move there So we are looking further south, maybe Caloundra way or Caboolture which is nearer to Brisbane. OH is a plumber so we'll have to see which area offers the best work!
I see you live in New Malden at the mo, we are in North Cheam and i used to work in New Malden so know it very well!
anyway congrats on getting your visas
