Have posted a thread on the immigration forum... Cat Applicants August 2010...
The boys are coming... it'll be nearly 3 years since we saw them last.. and they would have been staying in the uk had the parents not sold their house/ decided to immigrate too....
But we're not telling the kids yet... will take them to see them once they arrive at Byford (just down the road from us... well there HAD to be ONE advantage to settling in Shockingham didn't there?)
Phoning Byford in the morning to book furnished accommodation for their arrival... reduced the costs by getting the permits myself and doing the booking.... sharing an air kennel and quarentine
Its funny coz today on the train we passed an Airpets vehicle and Jack asked what that was all about... I then got the standard day long nagging... can't the cats come, please can the cats come, I miss charlie & maslow...
There's still some mileage to be had out of this one coz all 4 of them have said that they would rather have the cats come over than christmas presents... But as the Kangaroo kid so helpfully pointed out... it can't be til next year... Granny & Grampies visa is taking 18 months or so... cats must take nearly as long as grandparents to import...
So shushhhh ....... no one say a word... its a secret....

Thanks SS
Quarentine booked... they arrive on 15th this means the 17th all the kids will get a morning off school to go and see the boys...
we kept my parents first trip to Oz a secret... we told the kids the queen was coming to perth and we were going to see her arrive at the airport... made them all spitbath and tidy themselves up... they wanted to know where the red carpet was and we told them that Australia doesn't make a fuss of the queen as there are so many republicans.....
You know? I'm thinking that this surprise is just as good as that one!!!!
