Probably end up staying a night or two in this place. Redlynch Cairns... get a lot for your money up there. Nice views.

Redlynch is a popular & rapidly growing suburb, spread over quite a large area. Some bits of it are more desirable than others, none of it is bad. There is a small shopping centre, a gym & good pub.
Where exactly is that place? Is.it in the valley?
Oh & you do get the occasional lion roaming the streets

It's a big jungle.

I keep my eye on the the property market for a few burbs and that property was up for sale recently. Nice looking place. Is it your mate buying it?

Freshwater Creek runs through the floor of the valley but this house is up a hill. It's a seasonal creek that probably flows into the Freshwater.

I've known a few people who lived down in the valley. It does rain more and gets hotter and more humid. Lovely place though.

Yehp thats his offer on it.... It's actually the father of one of my sons school friends... We've been to their place here in Melbourne a fair bit now. They've invited us up so their son can stay in touch when up in Cairns. Looks like they are going to alternate between Melbourne and Cairns (not sure how that works with school age kids but never mind) ... Remember I had a thread on him and their gun toting weekend.

BTW easy to spot as Melburnians...They are 100 pct Greek.... kids born here though.

Looks like plenty of room for them to indulge in what they like doing. It'll be interesting around NYE if they are up there by then, As they like to make their own fireworks, you may find they have a bigger display than Cairns Council If you ever see anyt pyrotechnics over that way... you'll know more or less where it came from... wont be on their property though.


Apparently there really was a report of a Lion walking around up FNQ recently.... or a Lion like creature... further south at Townsville I think.
