In fact, can I make a request with regard to the trades descriptions act? Expats does suggest an attachment to the mother country and yet some on here clearly don't have that.

Well if someone would like to volunteer for a fulltime unpaid post conbtacting every BE member and asking that they verify their status as a British Expat, before they are allowed to join, maybe they would like to apply in writing to Admin..........
However we will not be making any attempt to limit the forum to British people only - absolutely no grounds for doing that. I think it should be aenough that posters accept the basis of the forum is British, as are the majority of posters.
We have a lot of posters of other nationalities, Australians included, who have joined the forum for numerous reasons, and I can't really see that there is any problem with that

We went to a friends house for dinner a few months back and dinner was a Moroccan theme. She cooked the food (as you would in Morocco) in a Tagine and I could do was laugh because it rhymed with vagine

I'm not British (well not in recent generations anyway) but married to one, though he's spent most of this life here (his parents did the pingpong thing too). As I've said before, I joined to seek info on the Middle East section of the website (didn't get many responses to my questions on that one) and happened to read some posts in the Australian section and as an Australian have been able to answer some peoples questions, so just joined in.
