we used to take the rope around a tree at the top of some cliffs in a landfill site in Betchworth, Boxhill, no helmets, no safety rope - I could abseil down in 4 huge jumps...

Nice to see all you bright young things! Attached is more of a wrinkly.....
Tip: for those of us without broadband, some of the photo files are HUGE!
There is a freeware little prog called (I think) Oscar's JPEG Thumb-maker, which will take any image file and reduce the file size to anything set by you. I use 640 x 480 and the file size is a fraction of the original.
Google it, or I could email it to anyone who wants it.
Regards

Well as most everyone has posted a photo I thought that I might do the same.
This is me and my daughter Alana last year at Healesville Sanctuary (Melbourne).

What a nice photo Jaykay. Good to see someone's kid will actually wear a hat and not just throw it in the bushes!
The location looks good too - are you moving to Melbourne?

I hadn't looked at this thread before - great photos everyone.
Never seen so many kilts though... the kids look great in them - even better than the men!
I felt all broody at the pic of your new grandson Whisky - what a sweetie.

Yes we're moving back to Melbourne (after 10 years of living in the UK). Only 5 more days to go and I'll be back in the family fold
We pretty much bribed our daughter into wearing a hat while she was in Oz. No hat, no sweets, swimming, bike (insert appropriate activity). But at least now she knows that if she's outside, the hat goes on.
