Default Name that tune?

Yeah kiddo has been hammering out a classic rock guitar riff on the piano and annoying anyone in earshot..

I pipe and and say, "Do you even know the song that came come? it's a classic!", And she responds, "No but XxXx was playing on the violin the other day - and it's cool"....

So I figured I'd have a quick look for the relevant track and show here how it's supposed to be played on a classic crunchy guitar...BUT I'm having a spectacular mental blank and can't name the tune!! ( Embarrassing mental blank for such a central part of the rock music canon)

is there a working riff search engine I can find on the web?? not so far!

So excuse the lack of rhythm - and no doubt wrong key, but heres the note sequence I KNOW you'll get there quickly.

C C B- C G F+ F C E- C

Over to you! . (DV will surely get this in a matter of seconds)

you're going to have to give a bit more info. Is the B below or above middle C and the the tab you have written, what do the +/- indicate?

+ is sharp,
- is flat.....

Register is irrelevant since I have no idea of the original key. Repeat the same riff in a standard 12 bar blues pattern an your in the right ball park. iMy mind thinks its Hendrix - but it could be something else, definately classic guitar rock.

Try this:

30 seconds work with a ukulele and a laptop (seemed like the best of the tools I had to hand!)
