Looking good Steve, Pool looks very inviting now dosn't it... bet you've been in a few times after a hard days graft!

How far from the beach are you there? Been thinking of buying a few miles mainland as i here you get a lot more for your money.... more land, house etc.

How true you finding this Steve?

How are your kids settling in, had much homesickness? Or does OZ feel like home already?

S-j and Si

Ps Included all wageslips and accountants details anyway, better safe than sorry eh?

half way through knocking down the kitchen wall i jumped into the pool had 10 minutes splashin about and went back wet through:)

beach is 15 minutes away (tops) and yes definately more for your money away from the waterfront;)

kids - our daughter terri (14) has settled in well she`s made lots of new friends and is in regular contact with her old mates in the uk via msn email and phone
( we opted for an international deal which only costs an extra 5 dollars a month but which lets you call the uk for 3 cents a minute  )

and finaly i do feel at home although we have only had the house for a couple of weeks we have been around to our neighbours for drinks had a good laugh with them and made to feel welcome

regards steve

Thanks for that Steve :D

Very funny about kitchen  could'nt do that in UK! Been quite sunny and warm last few days here 12c!!

Reasuring to know your ok out there.... We have a daughter of 9 and 3 boys under 2 1/2. So a bit worried for myself in the early days really... Coping with knowing nobody etc. I'm quite chatty though so hoping wont be for long..

You've done a lot in a couple of weeks Steve, are you working too?? Superman or what! Si reckons it gets past 40 degrees in Summer, is this true! Bring on the air con, cold beers and pool!

Do you think it's a bit premature to find contacts for work on Gold Coast/Bris, as we wont be there for about 10mths.... Not sure how bad they want you.... Is there loads of jobs for sparkies or is it a bit over the top?

Regards to you and keep it up, you'll be famous by the time we get there!

i`d leave it til you get here
once here you have to do your cpr and blue card courses to apply for the temp licence so youd be wasting your time asking employers as it would be at the least a month before you were even available ;)
