Re: My UK experience
Are we all supposed to be impressed by the BMW and horse? Granted we're all different when it comes to what makes up happy but this is one of the most toss-pot sentences I've ever read...

Re: My UK experience
I'd love to know where the OP and his good lady wife visited in the UK?

Re: My UK experience
I am sorry your wife didnt like the UK, its not for everyone and yes some parts are quite run down etc, however I think referring to it as a shit hole is a bit extreme. At least you wont have to waste any more money on visiting again. I am pleased you have Australia to return as well.

I can't repeat what she she said here abouit England being a family type forum but if I ever mention going to that sh--t-ole again that's it. I got the message and I happen to agree. The U.K today, compared to what I remember a few decades back are totally unrelated. It was a shocking eye opener for me and I'm still trying to come to grips with it. We couldn't wait to come home and probably won't go back again. Biggest reality check I've ever had and I'm not young. Be very careful what your memories are because it changes rapidly and the repercussions are not good. Re: My UK experience
The OP has left the website, so is unable to answer. Probably best if I close the thread.
