We had pest control in last week.

Since then found four redbacks escaping from the roof space via the light fittings. One dangling right over the breakfast table.

Lovely!

Lovely!

We have sprayed outside the house with some strong stuff and havent seen any for a week but each and everyone we see in the house will be killed.

My kelpie munched on one but I think its money well spent on pest control.

That's right, the experts really are not sure, from what I've read the mother is certainly very weak, she can either stay and die or get away and recover. Octopuses do something similar except that they don't seem to get eaten by their kids.

I have many books on all sorts of wildlife, if I tried, I reckon that for every article I could find at least a single contradictory one.

For sure! It's been fascinating watching the process though. I've got about 50 mini huntsmans making for the door and a few very wary flies staying super still as the hordes advance. :D

They've all left home... I think.

None left now.

New one moved in recently... just a youngster.

Brill Thread !! Quite frightening and sickening though. I just can't imagine being so calm myself. Maybe in a few years ( I hope) but it's all relatively new to me at the moment. Don't suppose you had photos of them all leaving did you?

No, I couldn't focus on the suitcases... they were too small.

;)

They just hung around at the door near the window.. think they were drawn by the light... and then they just... went!
