More bad news for our family - my granny (dads mum) passed away exactly 2 weeks after my dad. She had been told 6 days before she passed that she too had cancer - thank god she didn't have to suffer. She's getting buried in just over an hour, which is hard for me since I'm back in Australia. At least I got to see her when I was back

So sorry Lynn, that's really crap but as you say she didn't have time to suffer and having had to say goodbye to her son must have been horrendous for her.

Oh Lynn that's so sad. Can only echo what the others have said - going swiftly and not suffering can't be a bad thing. And they say seeing your children go before you is the hardest thing, so maybe she just decided bollocks to cancer, and it was time.
