Anyone got any expeirence with "the big Green Egg" type BBQ's with the ceramic enclosures. They apparently are the best type of BBq's money can buy. Or the Komodo style.

Hopefully someone on here has one... are they worth the money ?

I've got to make a hasty purchase by New Years eve.

The Weber Q range is really good - can recommend them.

Yeah, Webers are excellent. We hardly use the other one since we got the Weber. Joints of meat are just so succulent and you can throw veggies round the side for a sunday lunch with no washing up. We are having beer can chicken for dinner today. So much easier than standing over a hot barbie turning snags!

We bought a Weber and got rid of the big BBQ. The Weber grills food so much better and is one of the best things we have bought here, it's fab

We do the same.... delicious roasts... self bastes.

Had some lovely meat on it. You can get accessories for it too... breakfast plate etc. Mine folds up and you can take it with you places on the trolley it comes on.

I didn't realise that "the big eggs" were charcol only.

Probably go for a family webber Q300

Although I may be shooting myself in the foot with this purchase. I'll probably end up doing all the roasting and grilling from this point on.

We generally only need to cook for 4. 10 people would be once a month at most.

Webbers are the nuts... Joe's BBQ's down the road here do them and the Beefeater ones, but says the Webbers do 90% of his trade...

Another vote for the Webber bbq's here. My parents bought one last year and thus far I'm the only one who's used it . Very controllable, easy to clean and extremely well made. Ours is on its deathbed too and when it goes, I know what I'll be replacing it with.

Good on you Oz. You won't regret it.
