I have just watched the below clip of how a mosquito burrows into your flesh and actively seeks out capilaries to suck. Once it's body is full of your blood it withdraws and flies away.

Seriously, this is a fascinating clip but the next time I hear a mosquito in the bedroom I don't care what time it is, I'm putting on all the lights and I will find it.

Found a lovely park late afternoon yesterday while out walking my son. Problem was it was infested with $&@& mozzies!

Amazing watching it fill up with blood! Equally that it's probey thing can penetrate human skin.
