Is it morally wrong or is it illegal?

A situation has arisen that has caused me some concern:
Our Daughter was working a shift behind the bar at the local club when a fellow club member became abusive. She was asked to leave & refused, police were called to remove her, though as yet [three weeks later] they still haven't turned up. As a result of her failing to leave the bar was closed [standard procedure is to close the bar]
The intoxicated person who had been asked to leave then came behind the bar & declared they would reopen the bar themselves. Our daughter refused to allow that & removed them from behind the bar to an area outside the building & locked the door. The same person then shoulder barged the door repeatedly & tried swinging on the handle to the point they injured themselves quite seriously "tissue & ligaments torn from the bone". They then came back in another door & alleged they had been assaulted. Obviously these injuries are the result of tugging at the door not from being marched out of it! Police were called again yet instead attending & removing the patron they are now investigating the alleged assaulted.
The problem being that the person involved was the ex treasurer who is very tight with the secretary. The secretary collated all the statements & made copies of them for the committee to view. She was there at the time yet did nothing to assist in the removal claiming she "saw nothing". She is now, three weeks later, stating that she saw an assault & is going to write her own statement to give to police.
As she has read all the others, 5 in total, with only one claiming to have been assaulted it's a little unfair to now write her own to back her mate.
Is it just morally wrong or is it illegal?

If the ex-treasurer tries to push charges then the secretary would purposely be giving false information, so yeah that's illegal.
I took the RMLV course a few months ago, and this was actually brought up, and it happens a lot in clubs, the person who is trying to be responsible get bullied by other club\committee members to keep giving drink to the intoxicated person.
If she were to have served the intoxicated person, yes that would have been illegal. If the secretary also happens to be the licensee or nominee this is very serious.
I would just hope the other 4 stick to their story, is there no CCTV?
I'd start looking for a new job if that's the kinda of people she's up against.

can only assume it would be classed as perverting the course of justice and purgory in court so yeah it would be illegal as well as morally wrong
