I'm not sure how much more messy it can be dealing with a really heavy period anyway... :o And once you add in non applicator tampons to the issue, it's pretty much the same I shouldn't wonder. I guess the only issue is being in a bush toilet with no sinks or water supply. (Happens to me a lot around here but prob not an issue elsewhere)

After managing to pee everywhere except the cone, I gave up.....so you can see why I'm not keen!

and i bet the cardboard went awe squishy lol

I just ordered one off eBay in the UK.

bought two - one of either size...

OMG! :scared: totally not for me! found them REALLY difficult to use, and bloody painful afterwards. Think all the training of my pelvic floor muscles rather put me at a disadvantage!

stick with me compacts I think

Why were they painful?

Like tampons if you site it wrong it is uncomfortable but if in right position it's ok.

they're were very awkward for me to get in and out - and to get it out (god this is getting to be VERY explicit but hey!) you need 2 fingers to go get the end of it, and not just pull the end of it, you actually have to get your fingers around either side if the bottom of it. well it was a struggle, the pamphlet says relax but after realising what actually has to go on to retrieve it my muscles wouldnt realx so it took about 5 minutes and was very painful.

definately not for me - and I normally use Super Tampax so its not like I have a problem with them.

so it boils down to the fact that your finger and thumb have to "go in" then grab onto the end and pull it down. It was not a pleasant experience by any means!

god - pity the poor men stumbling across this thread :p

Guess we are all different. I've had one for a few months now and am impressed with it. Finger and thumb to pull it down, quite safely and without mess, tip it into the loo without looking first ;) lean over to the sink (in MY bathroom) rinse it out, reinsert it - job done.

Not been brave enough to use it for the heaviest day if I have to go out, but the other days are fine. Also not used it at night yet. Seem to sleep heavier here than I did in the UK.

Upshot it, thought I would hate it, but don't. :D
