Default Minimum wage

Hi,

Just wanted to get this straight about the minimum wage in the country. So, all full time and part time jobs throughout the country are covered by it, unless the states have their own specific minimum wage, correct? And all FT/PT jobs are either given the required benefits, or the company is required to put an additional 15%-25% loading on top of the base wage (casual position), yes?

far too many permutations to give credence to your question but generally, there is an award which has the minimum wage for that industry. If permanent, you are entitled to holiday hrs accumulating along with sickness hrs. If casual, these are paid with your wages and for example....$30 per hr permanent would be something like $36 casual. Ive found basically that casual only gives you what you're entitled to anyway but without the security. Depends on the individuals preferences.
