I have a fabulous OH who, on a Saturday morning, does all the weekly ironing, despite the fact that I only work 15 hours a week. However, I have told him time and time again NOT to do the washing - he tends to put too much in the machine so it doesn't wash properly and mixes darks and whites together. This afternoon he yet again decided that he would put in a load of towels. Not a problem per se, except he has used Lux handwash flakes
and not washing powder. The washing machine has leaked all over the wooden floor. Hopefully it hasn't sunk underneath and lifts it up.

sorry! Will he be able to fix the floor if it does lift? I moan about my hubby not doing basic stuff like put his plate in the dishwasher but since he's so brilliant at anything plumbing/building/electrical/etc etc I can't complain too much

No chance of him repairing that - we will have to get in the professionals - I bet he then complaints about the money. Actually in fairness to him he is very good - he works about 60 or more hours a week in a very stressful job but still he keeps the garden and pool tidy and clean and, as I said, does all the weekly ironing - I just wish he would keep his bloody hands over the washing machine!!

I thought just working and not freaking out at the kids pooey nappies was enough.
If Mrs JTL or too many women see this they'll expect their husband to be Mr Wonderful who works 60 hour weeks, does the ironing, cuts the grass, cleans the pool etc etc.
Well hey LADIES, IT'S 50:50!! If you do bugger all, don't expect Mr Wonderful to do everything you can't be arsed to do.
