I like Marmite and just to prove that I'm slowing moving to the dark side, I prefer the Australian Marmite, from Sanitarium, to the UK original. :eek:

Love marmite. Tried vegemite the other day, it was ok, I might get a jar when my marmite runs out.

I'm amazed this question is even being asked...how anyone can insult their tastebuds with that vegemite shite & then keep it down is beyond me :ohmy: ...it's gotta be Marmite all the way :thumbup:

Never having tried any of them before I decided to buy "Vegemite Cheesybite" the other week - I'm now on my 3rd jar - I LOVE IT :wub:

Don't like the normal one tho:blink:

Its great isn't it. I love the real vegemite (more so than marmite) but the cheesymite is just :wub: Gets me through many a nightshift, I spread it on a pile of crackers and just nibble all night.

Vegemite every time. First had it when I came over in the early 80s, preferred it to Marmite and was very happy to find it in the shops in the UK not long after. Not tried Cheesymite but the idea of it revolts me.:D

Both are vile.......yet apparently I used to eat marmite as a kid. Well it was better than the bread and dripping which was the alternative, but only just.

Crackers with a bit of real butter then marmite spread on and a slice of cheese makes a great savory snack.

Could also add, gherkins, cocktail onions etc...

Vegemite. Preferably on thick wholemeal toast with lots of butter and topped off with the yolk of a soft-ish boiled egg on top. :)

I'm with you, MP, Cheesymite sounds as grim as.

Yuck! I hate the Sanitarium version of Marmite, definitely prefer the UK Marmite, but am quite happy to eat Vegemite now I'm in Oz.

The Cheesymite I hated the look of at first coz it looks just like dog poo, but it's actually very nice!

It tastes just like cheese spread to be honest...but with a bit of a tangy bite to it. :)

I think I actually prefer it to Vegemite now. I have it almost every morning at work :D
