Anybody flying out on the above date with Singapore airlines from Heathrow?

We're stopping off for a couple of nights and then onto Brisbane.

We're going on 27th.... to brisbane arrive 29th

2 weeks left....

Not too long to go then . What part of Brissy are you going to?

Last day in work tommorow, had the leaving do last night. Only the family left to deal with and then it's off to Heathrow Getting quite excited/nervous now.

In case you aint aware....

I flew out of Heathrow 2 days ago.

Hand luggage must fit into this skeletal cage thingy, that they ram your bag into... for some god knows reason.

All liquids must be 100ml or less.. then you get thru bloody check in, and duty free sell everything in 250ml bottles !!

Cheers for the info mate. I'm sure it'll only get worse over the next week or 2, what with people running at airplanes wearing rucksacks and terminal 5 opening and the queen visiting :curse: Still it'll all be worth it.

That'll be good, we'll be there from midday onwards as we're flying 18:15. I think both airlines fly from terminal 3.

Is it Brisbane you are flying to ?

Yes we are flying to Brissie we leave at 2000. Hope to be at heathrow at 4ish
never been to Heathrow b4 so youll av to let us know where i suppose a bar would be good lol

go thru check in, and passport control.

Head upstairs ( terminal 3 this is )

Turn right, keep to RHS, head all way down, great PUB there.

A bar sounds good to me Sue , i've flown from T3 and T4 previously but don't remember a bar off the top of my head.

I'll make it my mission to find one though and if we swap mobile numbers before we leave, we'll let you know where to head.

Shame it wasn't this saturday, we could have had a Grand Slam party to send us off

Belated grand slam celebrations sounds good to us lol. Ill pm u with mobile no. Do u know if they av a smoking area in the airport or are those days well and truly gone ill av my puffer with me so i suppose ill just av to get used to puffing on that lol.

Sounds like a plan Sue, wouldn't know about the smoking areas as i gave up around 3 1/2 years ago , although there was places to smoke last time i flew out to Aus. Ste will probably know more.

Well done on giving up ive tried and failed on numerous occasions think this may be a good time 4 me to quit.

We fly via Dubai only got 2 hr stop then onto Brissie god its gonna be along flight. Really not looking forward to flying wot about u?

I've done the straight through flights twice before stopping at Hong Kong - Brisbane (5 hours transit) and Singapore - Melbourne (4 hours transit) it's hard work but the excitement keeps you going. The jetlag will more than likely catch up with you a few days later, but it'll be so worth it.

This time we decided to break it up and stop over in Singapore for 2 nights, so should be OK.

These flights would certainly be a good time to give up, although i never managed it due to the price of marlboro lights in duty free

I'm sure you'll give up though if and when you're ready. Best thing i ever done for myself, others tell me only quitters quit so each to their own i spose, wasn't as hard to quit as i thought it would be to be honest
