Default The Man Flu Diet Thread

Ok... Not technically a man yet at 11.... But Mumbles has given me man flu.. Little bugger I told him to sod off last week when he was sneezing and sputtering....

Am currently living on a diet of cold and flu tablets, nurofen, aspalgin (yes I KNOW I'll end up with a sore tummy, but they WORK), salted chips to soothe me throat, hot drinks and a fan that either is off and I'm boiling or is on and I'm ffreezin, even tho its 36 degrees outside my window...

Heads going to explode.

throats too sore to smoke and whats worse I dont bloody care!!!!

Ache from head to toe... Even me fingers hurt....

Apart from demanding HE goes and buys me oranges and tandori chicken and onion barjees when HE gets in, what else diet wise is good for man flu????

(actually, may not have been mumbles now I think about it, may have been that bloody nursing student with sneezing, coughing over all of us at handover yesterday morning.. The one with the toatally inappropriate footwaer)

I dont have a cold but I am craving junk food for some reason and nope, I am not pregnant (too old for that), but at this moment in time, i could snarf down a Hungry Jacks meal and I can even taste it.

I hate fast food but by god I could eat that right now. But I have healthy pumpkin soup Mr PP made for me, but what I really want is a piss off huge whopper chopper snopper super dooper Hungry Jacks, with unhealthy amounts of salt (which I usually hate) and ketchup.

Sorely, oh so sorely tempted to jump in the car and get it. So no man flu but I do believe I should eat in sympathy for you.

Thanks for that... Am now desparate for some mackers fries courtesy of your bloody post.... Is it illegal to send sick kids out for takeaway if they're off school? Reckon mumbles could do with some fresh air and exercise at this stage of his recovery..... Mwah ha ha ha haa

chicken noodle soup and toast is my man-flu weapon of choice.
the shitter the quality of the soup sachet, weirdly the better. Coles own brand for 42c a go is the current favourite.

it is mandatory that you follow each cough or sneeze with a groaning noise too, to remind people that you have man-flu and not just a regular cold.

I can do that on line... Worked until 0700 this morning... They phoned me in for tonight but i knocked them back.... Unheard of

You cant go half paced on a ward and you shouldnt be givin yer germs to vulnerable pts when you KNOW youre ill..... Not if yer a nurse...

We had kids with severe asthma on sunday night (was on paeds) cant believe the bloody student rocking up with a stinking cold like she did... She could kill them... Yup I know that the bloke in coles with man flu could give them it too, but a nurse has a duty of care....
