Re: Mac Deals

hear hear ! :D

my kids spend more time now on the mac than they ever did on the pc, and i don't get the constant 'mum - what's happened, what does this mean, i've got an error message' call every 5 mins!

then again, i guess my 9 year old, building her own website, making her own movies, creating her own photo albums isn't as educational as playing on some 'strategy' war game thingy?

it's a brilliant babysitter - even my 4 year old will spend a good hour on it without needing my help, whereas on the pc, i had to sit with him throughout.

until you get one, you won't appreciate the difference it brings !

KAREN :)

If you want to do anything worthwhile (without having to waste time fending off malware and viruses and doing numerous 'fresh installs') get yourself a Mac.

Yea, it's true - malware and viruses are an issue. They target the overwhelmingly popular platform - no point creating viruses for an OS hardly anyone uses.

As to the 'anything worthwhile' .... There's about a 1000 times more choice in software on the Microsoft platform ... so yea, if you like being locked-in both in terms of software and hardware and paying through the nose for the honour ... fill your boots.

There are 1000 times more Fords than BMW's

Given the choice, I know which I'd prefer to get me from A-B

Mind you, loads of cheap spares readily available for when my Ford breaks down

i'm loving this thread! I also love the superiority levels that we mac users emit effortlessly - and needlessly win each time! (see what I'm doing there?)

My choice would be a DB7, but I can't the MacPro just yet (boom boom)

Come over to the 'good' side....you know you're tempted! When you buy a mac you buy also buy self-righteousness and smugness. It's a wonderful bonus. It's a part of being a mac owner I didn't expect, but love it!

:)

boys - continue please......
