Sounds a lot like Slappy and BE.

I prefer to be considered immoral and indecent.

If I wanted morals and decency I would pop into the Cathedral next door.:D

Not to put too fine a point on it, some time ago someone on here posted photos of his packed belongings, in response to my claim that he was all mouth and trousers, and would not move to the UK.

In the ensuing time I have flown 68,000 miles, lived/resided/suffered in 11 countries, and I am back in Oz.

Said poster is still here, still telling the world that he is on his way to the UK.

I will be off in three weeks time on another posting, and it looks like after that I will be way for quite some time. My guess is that when I return around 2015 the Eternal Exiter will still be in Oz, still posting about how crap it is, and still telling anyone who listens that he is on his way next week.

Such is life.

I was just thinking of you a few days ago. Welcome back. :)

Unfortunately even the Cathedrals are not immune from indecency and immorality. Some people kneel down not only to pray for forgiveness of sins and divine mercy.

I pop in and get down on my knees from time to time, but in my case I am searching for coins that missed the collection tray.... :)

F#$kin global warming causing that, you know! ;-)

They call it climate change to avoid the fact that things aren't warming up, but you get the idea....

What did piddle me off was the media circus that arrive on ever plane and try to conduct interviews and capture shots showing the damage caused by climate change, and quite happily twist facts, arrange scenes and selectively interview to get a good story (meaning one that attracts climate change funding or is sellable to the climate change lobby).

They don't seem interested in hearing that the US SeeBees arrived at Funafuti in 1943 and bulldozed the top meter off the island to build a runway, accommodation for 5000, offices and hanger hard-standings. The dug massive borrow pits, and moved the entire population off the island.

Nor are they interesting in noting that per head of population the Tuvaluans are in line with the rest of the world in causing climate change, given the massive diesel generators, use of outboard engines on aluminum boats, use of motor bikes, scooters and even taxis on an island that you can walk around in half a day.

and when a local mentioned a swimming pool sized hole that appeared when coral collapsed near his house, the film crews were strangely disinterested.

They all stood on the beach (itself levels by giant bulldozers, some of which still lie rusting in the shallows), waiting for high tide to get the money shot.

Even the average Tuvaluan has little time these days for the media or climate change advocates.

I forgot to add another important point. The drought.....

Remember how climate change meant that they war running out of water?

I spent a day walking in the rain photographing the leaking gutters, missing downpipes, missing guttering etc, that was supposed to capture the rain and provide drinking water.

There media weren't interested in that aspect either....

Far better to say it is climate change causing the problem....

I intend putting my photos up on a website called "Climate Change? Bollox"...
