London Hotels & Things To Do
#1
I know there has been recommendations for London hotels on here before, but can't seem to find any?
Looking for somewhere for a weekend (fri - mon) thats in an area where we can easily get out and about. We've not been to London before (except when Kids) so somewhere not too complicated to get to!
This is a 'we better see a bit more of the UK before we bugger of to Oz' trip, so any must see's and must do's most welcome.
Also we don't want to actually bankrupt ourselves, so cheap and cheerful is fine!

try the premier inn, county hall. It's right beside the eye, up road from Houses of P, westminster abbey, and you can walk over bridge to embankment and strand. Nearest tubes are westminster or waterloo. We think it's great -clean and in a good location.

Try travel lodge, they have lots around london, I used to live in Watford so thats a good cheap one and easy train/tube access. Although if your a family to the train fairs can mount up.
We stayed in a comfort inn in finchley last weekend, lovely area next to muswell hill. Only £69 including breakfast and that was the room rate. Lots of stations nearby so not too far on the tube.
Got it on one of the hotel sites I think.

Then I guess the Ritz is out of the question?
