Do you think Obama was nervous when he saw the grassy knoll?

Apparently they're seats supplied to the big sponsors. I think the people in the 'cheap' seats should have been asked to move down to the rows of 'expensive' seats if the wazzocks who should be there don't show up.

Wow, simple yet effective. Only problem is that you need the sponsors aboard. You know Nike, Reebok, puma etc..... "They aren't cheaters they are our cheaters" bought and paid for.

Sales are more important than butts in the seats. Keep up Appearances. P.S. Not an England solution but anywhere ticket sales effect the bottom line.

we tried to meet some friends yesterday at a place called Ripley...road closed to raod racing. We detoured for miles to get there to find the bloody road had opened minutes after we left...
Then to Kingston where the first anyone knew of road closures was the closure signs at the car parks on the edges of the town...cue traffic chaos and buses trying to turn around where they had no room.
AND GB did not win.

Aussie "weapon of mass destruction" failed spectacularly into 4th place. But the French beat the Americans!!!! Excellent racing.

David Millar was able to ride only after the British Olympic Association's policy of lifetime bans for dope cheats was removed in April by the Court of Arbitration in Sport.

And the first gold medal for Pommy whingeing goes to Mark Cavendish

THEY were the hot favourites to claim a day one gold medal for the host nation.
But after their cycling team's inglorious finish in the 250km road race the Poms, led by Mark Cavendish, reverted to their favourite sport. Whingeing.
A frustrated and disconsolate Mark Cavendish accused rival teams - in particular Australia - of preventing him from his first Olympic cycling gold medal, even though they stood little chance themselves.

And
"A 32-strong breakaway group of riders left the five-man British team for dead with 50km of the 250km course remaining. Until that point the British contingent, including Tour de France winner Bradley Wiggins and runner-up Chris Froome and cheered on by an estimated crowd of 1.5 million, had led the peloton for five-and-a-half hours"
Never understood the attraction of what is the worst spectator sport in history. Stand in the rain for an hour, watch fifty blokes cycle past really fast for 12 seconds, then get in the car and go home. Someone on one of the Aussie channels described this as the "best spectator sport" ever. It would be more exciting watching a raindrop run down a windowpane.

Winning is not a right, you sound like you were expecting to win.
You gave it your best shot and it was not enough.
Get over it and move on.

The "weapon of mass destruction" is the name given to the team- Magnussen was "the Missile" so I'm not blaming one man - I don't think that he should have swum first though.
