Re: The legend that is Hurricane Higgins....
One of my heroes, a true maverick and hard work as his book which I am reading 'The Hurricane' portrays. The poorer 'Higgins' financially of the snooker world but the 'other Higgins' will never be in the same class or command the same respect and adulation of the snooker world or the people!
Alex Higgins put snooker on the map 'The People's Champion' John Higgins? Enough said! |

Re: The legend that is Hurricane Higgins....
Came across this on Youtube from the same night, he looks more healthier on video than still camera but is still clearly not with it.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_nzfv...eature=related http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1vMkR...eature=related However its still disturbing I think, It smacks of sheer desperation and looks more like a circus sideshow than anything else. The amount of people taking photos of a clearly faltering legend is upseting and cringeworthy. |
Re: The legend that is Hurricane Higgins....
You're right, that's really disturbing and sad. It reminds me of people watching obviously unhappy wild animals in a small enclosure. It's just wrong. I don't know what right is but having him 'performing' like that isn't it.:(
