Yup, I know how you're feeling.

Ours fell over the day before we were booked to fly when the potential purchasers decided to drop their offer price by 20,000UKP.

After discussions we just came over anyway leaving the house with the agent and solicitors to sell. Needless to say, the agent did sod all with us off his back. No viewings, etc... Sadly a friend died 6 weeks later so we went back to the UK. While we were at Heathrow, knackered and jet lagged, we had a call from someone who wanted us to show them around the house that evening. We did. Next morning got a cash, no chain offer at the full asking price. They even offered us a couple of grand to rent the place before moving in. We declined to rent it, suddenly they and their solicitors moved very very fast and exchanged that week.

Hi Paula, We are in a similar position to you. Our house sale also fell through and we have had very little interest since. We have decided to just go for it and leave the house to sell. We have given a set of keys to the ea and given the solicitor poa. We leave on Mon (scared). Strange thing is since our furniture went last week we have actually had a couple of viewings so heres hoping.

You have already had a couple of sales so the place will sell again. Try not to stress too much - easier said then done i know. Good luck with everything and I hope you enjoy your new life in Oz.

Jules x

Default Re: leaving house

Just curious,We have to be over in Oz before Dec to activate our visa's. House has been on the market for 2months, not even a sniff of anyone viewing. We have decided we will have to use all of our savings to go for a holiday then have to come back till our house sells. Is there any other way around this ????
