Hi,
I am looking into learning to drive over here in Brisbane and wondered if anyone had been through the process and would be kind enough to answer a few questions? I don't drive at all and so I would be starting from scratch.
From the Queensland Gov website my understanding is that I need to get a learner licence and then complete 100 hours of supervised on-road driving, including 10 hours of night driving, before I can obtain a provisional licence. Does this 100 hours need to be with a driving school or can some of it be with my partner? Before getting the provisional licence will I need to sit a test? At what stage do I apply for the actual drivers licence?
Any info will be much appreciated!
Many thanks

That 100 hours recorded logbook driving for Queensland learners, under 25, can be with friends and family.
However, a one hour lesson with an accredited driver trainer will count towards three hours in your learner logbook, up to a maximum of 10 x one hour sessions.
Therefore; do 10 hours with a Driving instructor and 70 with Family, and you get the 100 hour credit.
