Talking Learn something new everyday

In ancient England people could not have sex unless
they had consent of the
king (unless they were in the Royal Family ).

When people wanted to have a
baby, they had to get the consent of the king, and the
king gave them a plycard that they hung on their door while they were
having sex.

The placard had F. @.C.K. (Fornication Under Consent
of the King) on it

Hence that's where the word ***** came from.

Now, aren't you glad you learned something new today??

Mate,

I heard that the original sign read (S.H.A.G)

Sire... Having... Acute... Girl

Suni, you are a wealth of information and you need to get out more.

Funny you should mention that .......................

Do you know where reportedly, the name GOLF came from.............

It is reported to come from: Gentleman Only Ladies Forbidden

I wonder if anyone else has some similar interesting facts..? perhaps this is worthy of a whole separate thread and maybe if it ran enough could be worthy of a sticky?

Tony
