I think realising it has been a year and having to miss my cousin's wedding, pushed me off the edge of patience for a while. Seeing you get your visa did make feel like there was some hope....
It will be the school hols soon, so I'll be out having fun, which should take my mind off it all.

People were asking me today how long it had all taken & it is about a year! When I remember that, it's no wonder I was starting to go a little crazy!
We will all get there & be laughing at ourselves for stressing so much & then of course we'll be on the MBTUK forum wondering why we thought the move to Oz was a good idea in the first place

It might be 18 months for us if the DIAC are particularly slow. Had an awful time with a shonky agent misadvising us at first, then the ACS taking twice as long to assess our application as anyone elses, for no apparent reason. Then SA closed to applications for 3 months, which held us up. I suppose it is a blessing we haven't sold the house. We would have been in rented for a year. We would be a lot better off though.
