I worked the summer hols in a geriatric hospital helping out in the Occupational Therapy Department! I loved it - I used to get paid for making plaited trays and doing aerobics and sitting reading to people:D As you can imagine it was upsetting sometimes though:( |

They were dead rude too which I found shocking as I thought all old people were innocent:eek: I also used to help out at the disabled swimming club, loads of people thought that I was doing it to be nice and was giving up my Friday night. Truth is I got as much out of it as the kids did, it is where I met my OH too. He has a disabled Bro who I used to swim with.... L xx |
