Hi Mick,Great to hear you have all landed safely, I was just e-mailing debs and said you must be there by now.
Was it easy getting a rental. we have heard some stories that it is really hard, can we let you guys be the tasters to what to do when you first get there and then when we get there on 9 September we can learn from you.
Give Claire my love and tell her to get searching for the perfect place for our first girly lunch and wine.

Hope to see you soon in a sunnier climate, cos it just aint stopped raining here for 3 days, bring on the english school holidays

Hi Again to all
Thanks for the welcome messages
Have spent the last week running round looking at houses and doing the job interview bit as well, all a bit manic to say the least. have seen 2 agencies, had 1 interview and got 2 more tommorrow.
Have had a look at a couple of houses but the rents seem to be a little expensive for what you get so havnt sorted that out yet, also the school thing is a minefield as well so thats still ongoing, so all in all done a lot but achieved a little.
Is it still to cold for the next kings park meet or have I missed it?
Mick

As for the Kings Park meet: We've had unseasonably good weather for August. I think we're now up to 13 days without rain which is a new record for August.
So, you haven't missed the meet. There wasn't one as the lovely warm weather was not expected. The next meet is on Sunday 21 September at 12 noon. The thread is here: http://britishexpats.com/forum/showthread.php?t=555258
Good luck with getting everything sorted.
Gina
