you should be able to get one just about anywhere- but check the sizes first as we had a kingsize bed in Uk but when we got here the Oz kingsize sheets etc that we bought were too big and it seems that Uk king is an Oz queen .
In answer to your question Mick, Harvey Norman, Fantastic furniture, Freedom, Furniture Spot, Merrys, Furniture Bazaar or Bedshed to name but a few

I know there is a slight dif in sizes but surely doube is 4ft 6ins, queen 5ft and king 6ft, in width anyway, in both countries. It worked this way for me.

General rule i've found Aussie Queen = UK king, Aussie Double = UK Queen, or as near as makes no difference

I've just discovered, that for some odd reason, a 6ft double in the UK is a super king??? I thought they were cigarettes.

We've just bought a Aussie queen sized mattress for our UK king sized bed frame (which is STILL on route here from the UK) & our UK king sized sheet fits perfect. We also bought a new duvet, sorry I meant doona, in Aussie queen sized & our UK king sized cover (only have one the rest are in the flippin container) fits fine.

I often buy UK king size duvet covers in Asda and bring them back over for my Aussie Queen size duvet, works perfectly

Do they have ¾ beds in Australia?

Edit: Found the answer here. The link also shows all of the Australian/International king, queen and double bed sizes.

I LOVE my Aussie King as it means that I don't have to touch my Husband unless I really have to

On a more serious note *cough* It's quite common for kids to have double beds here and kids covers can be bought in double sizes too.
