Default King Charles snub?

Australia has decided NOT to put the portrait of King Charles on their 5 Dollar banknote.

I don't particularly see it as a 'snub' really. More a moving forward with something that isn't so much in use these years.

For Oz it might be an idea to use a kangaroo or an emu instead. They symbolise a moving forward.

Growing up at last. Keeping that <snip> off the currency is a good start.

Until a referendum decides the monarchy is no longer head of state, the heads head should remain.

Removing it is not the will of the people.

Referendums very seldom succeed in change in Australia. Those who dislike change seldom post it on social media.

Irrelevant. The big eared <snip> won’t be appearing on the $5 note, a very good start.
