Default Just in time for Spring!!

Mates of ours are moving away to 20 acres - we can't wait - we're looking forward to getting stuck in to it ourselves - he's got more sheds there than you can shake a stick at -and hes going to have vines, stock and I'm going to keep a motorbike there - but one of the upshots is that my mate is going to sell me his rideon mower.

Woohoo! I've had a grin on my dial all day.

Been looking out for one for a few years - can't justify a new one and ones at a good price in good nick and verifiable are hard to come by!

When we got ours, for the first time ever, we all argued about who will cut the grass ... the novelty still hasn't worn off yet with the kids so we can get away with not getting the quad for a bit longer

Win-win. I can do what is a chore - and relax more. I'll now have more time to do the whipper-snipping as I'm often too shagged to do that after pushing on a hot day.

Hmmm. 2 babies, or the woosh of a mower and safety ear defenders. I'll take the mower thanks.

Sitting on your mower, plugged in to ipod with nice cold beer in hand ... I'll take the mower too

Awesome - I would love a block that big...

I watched selling houses abroad last night and this couple on said 'oooh no don't say rural I couldn't bear it! We need to be close to people and towns and transport and noise!' 'I can't think of anything worse than being stuck in the middle of nowhere'

Well horses for courses - but me - give me 40 acres in the middle of nowhere (just call me anti-social) anyday

You could have bought mine, sold the acerage as new, only used it for 40 hours, but of no use to us now. You could have rode it back to melbourne

Nice one, we picked-up our venerable Rover Beast (12.5hp, yowza!) for $800 a year or so ago from a guy that used to do it for a living.

I've bent it more times than I (or the OH) can count ... all I can say is you WILL have fun and if you don't know anything about how they work then you WILL do soon And get a big mallet for repairs.

I also advise hand-sanitising the block(s) at least once for anything that might bugger the thing (or you) ... we found golf balls, tap heads, irrigation pipes, half-bricks ...

Mucho fun.

Thanks for the tips - I've heard that fixing them is easy and a question of belts in the main. I want mine partly for towing. this one is a 38" 14.5 bhp MTD.

Man spend many hours working out how he can get into someones pants.

Eventually he finds someone who happily allows him to do this, and on a frequent basis.

Time flies though and before you know it said pants are spouting forth babies.

Now there are not enough hours in the day or energy left to worry about pants.

But man must still have a thrill so he dreams that one day he will procure a different ride
