After almost 2 years of planning, I have managed to get myself and family almost all the way to OZ.
I got approved by NOOSR for my skills assessment, successfully completed the VISA forms from hell all by myself (successfully, hah how shocked was I, I expected them to send them back laughing!!!!), been and done a 2 week reckie, (best 5 grand I have ever spent).
Scraped together $100,000 and sent it away to WA as a bond for 12 months at 6.35% no less.
Found a packing company that will transport half a container of our belongings to Brissy for a meagre £1800. (Breathe!!!) Told my work I am offski but have not yet handed in my actual letter of resignation, and am about to start selling our unwanted junk including the 2 cars!
Now this all sounds awesome so far, the Visa is winging its way to us, we agreed a great rate of exchange for our pennies and are whooshing along the yellow brick road to a ned free, litter free, sun filled life and wallop.:curse:
I Cannot sell our house for love or money or even sweeties!!!

The damned thing has been on the market since January, (I plan ahead me!!)
But Noooo, I have had 3 offers and they were pants well one was good but I was a greedy fool and held off and the offer came off the table!:curse: :curse: AArrrggghh!
Has anyone else come across this problem?
Is the market dead????
Will I ever sell my house?
Will any of my questions be answered???
I just can't wait for next weeks episode of Phil, Eileen and Georgia try to get to OZ!!!!!

wish I knew of some house selling magic too we've been for sale for 5 weeks, and only 3 viewers and no offers

If you find any house selling magic can we have some, We have been on the market since beginning of Feb, even had a buyer but they were just time wasters and pulled out . No other viewers don't know if it's price or the market.

Our has been on since 8th jan & only 1 viewing. We can cry together boo hoo.:

Awww you poor thing...people do say that selling the house is harder than getting the visa...if your getting offers then at least people are looking!
keep your chin up, im sure you wont be hanging on for too long.

Sold mine at auction afterbeing on the market for 9 months - ok a financial hit isn't good but knowing I had a sale on the night and 2 weeks exchange was worth the drop for us.

I have to say that i'd been trying to sell on and off for 5 years, only some bright planning spark decided it would be nice to put an animal incinerator 500 yrds from the house and 200 yrds from the next door primary school
Needless to say that took time to sort out through the right channels and eventual planning review by the community and the school.

Each to their own of course - it worked for me but of course it won't suit everyone.

Can I ask how much or what % of drop compared to the asking price. Auctions are starting to get more popular we may consider it if no joy selling.

Dont be emotionally attached to your house.... walk out and walk
back in expecting to see a lovely neutral clean looking environment, no nicknacks lying about......... Do you see this???

Also remember it's just started warming up for summer get some nice baskets and start mowing the grass and get the fresh coffee on!!! Failing all that get pammy Anderson to say she lives next door

it took us two estate agents later to sell our house and we dropped it twice.
altogether it took us 10months to sell it. we are currently living with family in the hope we might get our visa's soon good luck you will sell it soon people will start looking again after easter hols sylvia

I won't tell you how long ours has been on the market (depressing) with its fair share of time wasters who put in offers, go through the whole process then pull out because they are not in a position to buy anyway. We have been in Australia for 6 months and just hope that now we may have shifted it but I won't hold my breath until the dosh is in the bank.
