Hi All,

I have just landed this morning in Sydney - what an amazing day to arrive! So far am enjoying the newness of everything and trying to sort out all i can.

There is something that I wandered if anyone here can help with - I have 2 laptops here that I need to get power adapters for. One adapter completely went kaput on the way over, the other I would like to get a new Oz adapter anyway.

I have looked at universal adapters on ebay but would like to get one a bit quicker - so, does anyone have any pointers of where I could get such a thing near sydney? I have heard of Dick smiths, looking on their website it appears expensive, is there anything else?

Whereabouts in Sydney are you? There's a place on Pitt St (towards the Circular Quay end) called lapy king. I think they have branches out in the suburbs too.
