Default Just heard a SCREAM from the garden.

The noise went "AAAGHHH its a huntsman"

I went to investigate.....

It was hanging out of the tree behind the house, about 6 foot from the ground on a strand of silk.....Granted it was a fair size, but I've never heard of huntsmen hanging on a thread????

On closer inspection, the legs were quite thin and spiney and it dropped down slowly to 2 foot from the floor, and had another strand waving in the breeze trying to catch something. It was quite interesting to watch, however the dogs didn't like it either, and they were trying to eat it!!!!!

Anyhow, I guess it was some sort of Orb Weaver? St Andrews Cross or similar... No where near the size of a Huntsman.

Huntsmen don't have webs per se but they can spin thread to 'balloon' or 'fly' on.
