Keep going, Eddie! I feel your cravings! I gave up a 20-a-day habit in 2000. It can be done, just one day at a time!

don't give up on giving up - I was terribly addicted but kicked the habit after a lot of attempts. Mid cigarette I decided I just 'don't do this any more'

Never give up giving up 
(I quit for four years, then got in with the wrong crowd (at 28
) and started again, then quit when I got preggers, obvs, then started again, so still on the down cycle but will quit again when I have the impetus to bother - stopping isn't the problem it's boredom that gets me going again)

When you get the urge to smoke, quilt, knit or do something else with your hands- but NOT eat. I tend to eat if I'm bored, so I try to do something else instead.
