Ireland is the best place to live in the world, according to a "quality of life" assessment by Economist magazine. The USA languished in 13th, while Britain was 29th - the lowest of the pre-expansion EU nations.

Yea I know - it's all totally subjective. I only posted it because it's one of those things we all like to get riled up about on this site, as if the vague findings of a load of economists in London has any bearing on whether you'll have a successful emigration.

Again....I feel these lists take little into account-I have been to Ireland many times, I really wouldnt want to live there-and I am not sure it is a land of opportunity at all.
