The main reason I wouldnt want to be a family of 14 arriving here, is with those sort of numbers, someone isnt going to like it.
5 of us, every possible combination of who loves it or hates it, is leaving staying, over the past 11 years. Emotionally draining. Usually ends up with family on opposite sides of the world.
Trips back to Uk cost $15,000 and up, thats for 5.
One kid will be back in UK for good end of year, hes the one who loved aus the most
As for the financial side of things. One would assume if the family wouldnt accept family benefits etc in UK they will knock back the massive amount of money they could claim on welfare (family benefits, rent assist etc) in OZ too.

The only reason my kids don't share a room is that one's a boy and the other a girl. They actually did share a room for a while when they were little, but now they're 15 & 17 they need their own.

If they had to live together they would, kids are a bit spoiled these days. I remember my cousins sharing a bed never mind a bedroom, seven kids shared 2 rooms & 4 beds.

Well in my family, there were 8 of us and we were lucky if we slept in a shoe!!!

And who seriously wants rooms to clean than strictly necessary? We have 3 batrooms in the house and only use one cos until the OH or the sprogs actually learn to clean a toilet properly, I ain't cleaning more than one!
