That sort of crap is becoming more and more prevalent thanks to workplace agreements and contracts. Several groups of workers have been dismissed and then hired back on lower pay all under the pretext of needing to restructure the company. Their won't be any half decent security in the workplace while the current federal government here is in power.

Don't talk to me about restructures! Our latest one has been labelled a reform, oh but it's not a restructure.

We've had three restructures in as many years. Another one looms but they are hinting at a "realignment" this time instead of a restructure

They usually happen when the Big Boss has had a holiday, and thus has been thinking, and usually result in several attractive female members of staff getting fabulous new positions

We're on our 3rd Branch Manager in 9 months. Stable as.
