*Newsflash* Australia may live under a nanny government and tremble at the though of an armed citizenry, but it isn't as uptight and politically correct as other cultures, and thank God for that. My advice to any white horse Yankees and Limeys: Suck it up. Australians give about as much as a shit about foreign condemnation as the Yanks do about U.N condemnation. Our sense of humour will continue to be 'abrasive' whether you like it or not.

Ok. So anything goes and that's alright? How about a Gallipolli joke then?

A reaction to how they have been treated in the past? Still wrong of course.

I thought Mel Gibson's film was bloody hilarious. I hadn't seen such a load of bollocks, dressed up as 'history' in a long, long, time.

Yes, and they suffered more casualties than the Anzac's... not that you would know that from Australia's version of it of course.

Not really, I addressed your point of view that as an Aussie you can say what you like in the name of humour and that's ok.

Have to admit that I cringed when I saw them come out on the stage especially when Sam Newman got in trouble for the same thing on the same channel a few years ago. If Harry Connick hadnt have mentioned it on the spot, I wonder if the kerfuffle would have been the same.

Good. I'll take you posting irrelevant quotations as an admission that I said no such thing.
