I've seen the future - 3DTV

I really didn't want to like it, but its far better than I expected.

Only downside is the sound quality is a bit crap on the tv's

I didn't know that! Surely you'd be sending the sound out via a home cinema system and it would be at least DD5.1?

Also, yes the glasses are a bit inconvenient but the resulting picture is gobsmaking! I'm more worried about my brain decoding 3D after a few beers :p

Holographic TV is promised by Sony for the year 2020 and in fact the Japanese are proposing to broadcast the 2022 world cup with holographic Technology.

It's shit, makes me feel drunk like looking at a magic eye picture or someones glasses. Long way to go yet apart from wearing the 3D glasses like at the cinema
