Hi both of you.

Well I've been pretty busy with work for the past year...(and FB if I'm honest lol). I've been involved with the building of the tram line in Adelaide from the city to the Entertainment center. It's been hard work getting it done in time, but also very rewarding. Just winding down a little at the minute while we wait for the outcome of another job our company has just bid on in Adelaide.

Also been planning a trip to the UK. I set off 9 weeks on Monday, it will be very interesting to see what I think of the UK after all this time away (almost 4 and half years...that went fast!). Really looking forward to catching up with friends and family, and also REALLY looking forward to seeing my hero Morten Harket in concert :thumbup: not once, but twice :p

Other than that, I've just been busy enjoying the place I call home. :thumbsup:

I just had a few words on FB with Pen the other day, and it got me thinking about BE. This site was a BIG part of my life for a long time (as you know lol) and I have missed a few of the people on here. I do keep in touch with quite a few people through FB, but there's a lot of you that aren't on there that I'd like to catch up with. :)

You know I would be there now if the old man's job didn't bring us here. I'll probably come over again during summer holidays, so we'll defo get together then.

I certainly am :D I'm one lucky lady that's for sure. I have great mates, a fantastic job and I live in Australia :lol: what more can a girl ask for ;)

strange that we have not met up!

Someone mention the cold! Apparently it gets warm here:confused:

We bought a house about a month ago with no heating or cooling. Reckon we'll have to toughen up or Mrs C will have to get a job:thumbup:

Oh, you're gonna want some cooling in summer in Adelaide. We had aircon in our lounge and when it's 40+ it was really welcome. We used to use portable heaters in our bedrooms too. Gets bloody cold in Adelaide in winter!!

The weather will get warmer, honest! This year has been COLD! :blink:

It's been freezing here this year. Coldest since I've been here for sure. And for a lot longer than normal too. It's so cold I'm thinking of moving country :lol:

Yeah, but we hardly used the evap in our rental as I wanted to acclimatise - the locals think I'm mad. Our house is 19 years old and was built and owned by brits and they survived but heating is going to be an issue - Mrs C makes a good hot water bottle though:D

It does get cold down here in Sellicks Beach, but it's beautiful:thumbsup:

I know!! When I was over the first week in August it was lovely during the days but bloody freezing overnight. I was sleeping with flannel jammies, socks, my hoodie and 2 quilts on. Guess I'm spoiled by the heater at home.

Sure, Glenelg is nice Mrs C did a placement there a few weeks ago in one of the hospitals.
