Anti Inflammatories do nothing. Physio is the only thing that works. Find a good one and have plenty of acupuncture. It takes an absolute minimum of 9 months to go but physio definitely helps. I got mine last July, was in agony with all movement until February and only now have moved into the later stages with just stiffness and no pain.

My sympathies. It's a nasty, horrible, invisible injury.

We don't wish to know any more details of how you got the injury in your bed thank you

That's unlike you. Normally detailed info is required to 'satisfy' you

An exclusive? Sounds like a lap dance Bix!

Actually, it's funny that people should mention physios and ironing...because after I did my back injury, my physio recommended that very thing!! She advised me to wear my shirts with the hangers still in them as this helps to keep the back straight etc, especially if you use wooden hangers from Target! Although, I've also noticed a sharp, mysterious pain in the back of my neck ever since. My lover pointed out a blue bruised impression of the hanger squished into my back and used it as inspiration for a Rolf Harris painting.

Added tip: For a bit of a thrill, swap wooden hanger for metal hanger! It makes you a good conduit of electricity! Venture outside in wet weather, particularly in violent storms I get a slight buzzing tingling sensation and my ears start smoking!!!

Give it a go! When I feel like a change I just insert an ironing board!!

Man, frozen packets of peas!! How flakey! Tsk! BORING!! Soooooo Yesterday!

I loathe ironing......

I will only iron 2 pairs of pants each week, that's it. My husband refuses to iron so I will only do 2 pairs of pants a week, oddly enough it doesn't seem to bother him enough to iron any himself! I refuse to iron anything I wear, but then I'm at home all the time with the kids so I don't care if there's a few wrinkles

Our system is simply tumble dry or hang to dry asap, and hang for a few days before it's needed. Seems to work just fine for everything but the pants he wears to the office.

In his old job he could wear jeans to work everyday so I went years without ever having to iron anything!

I loathe any form of housework, and I'm the least domesticated person on the planet. One of my mottoes is 'Life's too short to hoover", but I do like a clean house and well-pressed clothes so when I was working I considered it well worth the investment of a cleaner/ironer. Here it's just too bloody hot - I did my own housework for the first three months, naked - and it's cheapish to hire one so I have a Lady Wot Does. I know I'm spoiled - she comes in twice a week for 4 hours each time. (I could have a live-in for that price but value my privacy and there's really not that much to do.)

I know I'm not going to have that luxury in Oz and it's already stressing me out. I'm even considering getting a job so I can justify hiring somebody.

My first MiL used to iron everything, and thought I was terrible because I didn't iron her darling's knickers. She didn't know I didn't do any of his ironing...

nanny - I don't have a frozen shoulder but I do have a lot of problems with my joints and inflammation. I have some compressed discs in my neck currently giving me a load of grief (and a lot of headaches).

I have just finished a course of acupuncture and also see an osteopath who is now using "trigger point needling" on me, which uses acupuncture needles but a very different method. It seems to be helping.
