Ahh, I had to stay in for a week when I had my little un - it was soooo hard to be separated from Dale overnight. Dale missed him so much - thing was he used to be awake all night too!

I did get to give him his bath this morning which was awesome, although he didn't think so.
i know it's mad isn't it - you can just sit and stare and sit and stare and sit and stare some more! We've got videos of Alfie fast asleep as a baby - and you can hear us going 'ah look he just moved, ah look he just stretched' it's so funny looking back. It's a lovely time.

That seems like yesterday and here we are nearly 5 years later :scared: - I still like peeping around the door and seeing him fast asleep

Hopefully get them home tomorrow, then let's see how confident I am.
I'm supposed to be in at work at 7am... I don't think that's going to happen.
Missing them sooo much but now got pictures and videos all over the place to keep me going.
There's a whole stack of emails, texts and voice messages to go thru and reply, but they can wait.

My daughter was in hospital for two months after I had her - I was ill too, but made it every day to see her...love that time back, despite it all.

Work! Don't you get paternity leave?

Sod the emails, just sit and look at your baby

Will be lovely to have them home won't it - ah you're so lucky, wish it was us

It's the best time in the world isn't it, I wish I could make time stand still.
Unfortunately I can't so I best try and get some sleep.

May be off line soon, who knows what these days will bring...?
Hope to catch up again real soon.
Night all, Dad

That must've been really hard Cas! I didn't realise you had any children.

I really must do the housework, Dale will be home in an hour and i'm in a right state! Talking babies is far more interesting though!

My daughter is now 21.

It was a very hard and special time.

Love another.

Welcome to Australia!
Don't get me started on that...
Jules has no maternity pay, and my paternity rights extend as far as being able to use any accrued holiday (not much) or up to a week's unpaid.. great when you've got one wage and an extra person to think about.
Such is life, nothing can bother me right now.
