Default International Internet-Free Day – Sunday, 29 Jan 2006

International Internet-Free Day – Sunday, 29 Jan 2006

The annual campaign calling for people to turn off their computers for one day and indulge in a 'real' activity. Runs under the slogan 'Log Out! Get Out! The real world needs you!'.

So stay off the e-mail, unplug the PC, escape the clutches of the web and head off into the real world: on Internet-Free Day, Sunday January 29th 2006.

What a funny concept. Maybe we should have a no-electricity day or a no-running water day too! Days like this are conceived by the kind of people who like messing about in other people's business. And besides, I've been online since before the arrival of the World-Wide Web and am only a few short years away from developing a full neural interface so I can upload myself into the .net Anyway - it's only a year or two before Skynet comes online and then it's curtains for all of us. :scared:

Ai - hehe. Gotta love those effing great backbones - *real* bandwidth. I was always amazed at what you could turn up if you trawled around a bit - things like Polaris House for instance :scared:

No way, I can't do this, it's like a day without drinking something
If we are forced to...maybe, otherwise....
