Yes the humanitarian intake are a legitimate group who have been properly assessed as needing protection and have waited in a queue for allocation to a safe country. Definitely out of all the groups these are the ones in greatest need of help. Not to be confused with unauthorised boat arrivals who are queue jumping, cherry picking the country and in 9 cases out of ten are not in need of protection at all.
We should be taking more of the former and none of the latter - not one.

This won't stop as long as there are countries that people want to escape from and until people smuggling and boat people stops.
No country can take everyone in. That is why asylum policies and quotas are in place.
