If you live in Brisbane....

guys seriously! Get out and support the Brisbane Roar! Not only are they playing the most entertaining brand of football I have seen since the early part of last decade with Arsenal, but they have not lost a game for 36 matches now! That is an all-football code record (NRL, AFL, Union, Soccer).
They really are amazing to watch and tonight we just fell short of 20,000 people at the game. This team deserves bigger crowds.
For families it is a great night/day out. An adult season ticket is $225 and kids season ticket is $50.
Get out and support your team! They deserve it!

Though seriously, if you haven't already, you could always try and find some of those scottish guys down at The Gap Football club to go on a drunken football day with you
Hear there's a big group of them, mostly celtic but some of the other flavour as well...
We've been thinking of going and BS your post might have just pushed me over the line to do something about it

I agree about the quality of the football, patient possession. Had a few misgivings about the new centre forward but I think he's a superb acquisition, very clever footballer.

Congratulations on the winning streak - and prepare to lose it on Boxing Day at a packed Skilled Park when GCU will humiliate your record!!
BTW any Roar fans or GCU going to that game?

I reckon if you got tickets down at the kop end you would find the sort of people you are talking about. It's not all family attendances there

How's that new signing Righters (?) settling in? Showed good signs against us.

My husband took our eldest son for the first time last night, with some friends - they had a great time but said the prices of food/drink were ridiculous, shame as it turns into an exy night out.
Our son is still excited about it all this morning!

I normally take stuff in, so generally don't buy anything there, plus the food is actually crap

I've been a couple of times but I just don't get that sense of history that I had in the UK.
I know, you have to create the history, but being out in the sticks it's a bit of a hike and the pull just isn't there.
Good on 'em though, from what I've seen the quality is really good.

Yeah, to be honest it is a bit of a pain in the arse for me to get to. We have to drive most of the way in then catch the train to Milton. Most of the games are Friday night ones too, which makes me getting back from Darra to Redcliffe to pick up Junior then back out to the stadium by 7 a bit of a challenge. But the little one loves it so much and is really getting into the fan experience. He already has his favourite players and knows most of them by their first name already.
I got into supporting Gillingham (for better or worse) by going along with my Dad so I can see how it's worth the extra effort for you.

Ah, the winter nights standing on a deserted terrace watching a terrible game surrounded by dodgy geezers ...

That's good the hear, our 6 yo isn't really into football (I nearly typed soccer ...) but she enjoyed the one game we went to together.

My hubby & 9 yr old go to all the home games, they love it. (I joke with hubby that The Roar have now became his first team
). In all honesty I am surprised that hubby has taken on another team, as he never done before in the uk - despite us living in Torquay for 9 years!
Maybe it's an age thing, who knows.
He does say though that The Roar play properly, compared to Celtic these days.

I'm going to my first Roar game tonight! Been meaning to go for ages, as I've missed watching live football. So I'm finally getting around to it tonight!
Might see you there BS
