If you could rewind your life by about 10 years what would you do, or not do, again?

If you could rewind your life by about 10 years what would you do, or not do, again?

Well, just to get all philosophical....

If you are happy with your current life, then you would do everything the same in your past, and then you'd end up back where you are now.

So, much as I hate Germans, I'd never have got my next job (with an Australian bank) if the Germans hadn't sacked me. So if I say I wouldn't go to Germany, I wouldn't be living here today.

He wouldn't have got a job with NAB, i.e., he wouldn't have met his future wife on a NAB project in Melbourne. Oh, hold on, actually, he might have been even happier if he didn't meet me...

So many things I would have done differently if I could go back in time. Looking back I could go back over 30 years and change things I'd done which would have made some parts of my life so much easier - not moved out at 15, stood up for myself more, grown a thicker skin. I know that my history has made me what I am today, but I think I would have liked to try not having had some of the bad bits.

I'd have to go back over 30 years.......... to spend more time with my father.

By the time I realised how ill he was, it was too late.

This is reminding me of 'Timequake' by Kurt Vonnegut. Everyone has to relive the past 10 years, but they cannot change a thing

I would have changed my career path away from I.T. altogether.

We would have also applied for our Oz visas a few years ago if we knew we could. Doh!

Now is the time to make the most of the next 10 years, so that looking back in 10 years time, I will (hopefully) not regret anything I am about to do.

Probably had my kids when I was a bit older, I was 24 and 26 when I had my 2 and I think probably I could have done with another 5 years of being just me and their Dad (of course, same kids though ).. had a big falling out with a lovely family memberback in 2003 so probably would have changed the way I handled that problem (mind you, we are back to being great friends again).. err.. other than that nothing else.. I am going through some big changes now but I still wouldnt have changed anything else in the past.. I've had some fabulous times actually I feel lucky to say
