As I've said before, it would be nice if people would bear in mind that everywhere is someone's home.

In this case, Birmingham is mine and I personally think it gets an unfair slating.

I don't want to get into an argument about it, it's not my nature. I understand people often have strong opinions, but I do think they could be put across a little more diplomatically. Perhaps there could be a few less sweeping generalisations too.
